Yes, that's the corner of the litter box. No, I don't know what kind of bug it is beyond it being the icky kind with a lot of legs that causes me to want to not be in the same room with it.

Unfortunately, they are damned near impossible to get rid of. The only thing that really works is to dry out any moist areas, and eliminate their food source. Hard enough to do in a house with no animals or children, where you can put down lots of the really strong poisons. I have just learned to live with them, they really do keep the other bugs down quite well.
For you guys, I figure ignoring it and letting the cat deal with them is probably the best option. :)
I don't think the cat much cares about bugs. Weird kitty.
I don't care for them (not just because they 'sting', but because they can destroy my trained spider army. :(
Sorry, house centipedes squick me slightly more than cockroaches do. They're both leggy and quick.
Happily, my cat has been known to eat one. :)
